Gifu Ramen Bar is a modern Japanese restaurant in Amsterdam, built around ramen, izakaya-style dishes and warm, thoughtful hospitality.

Our menu brings together comforting bowls of ramen, carefully considered side dishes and a curated selection of sake, Japanese natural wine and other drinks. Gifu Ramen Bar is a place for both everyday dinners and longer evenings around the table.

Who We Are

We are Gifu Ramen Bar, a Japanese ramen and izakaya restaurant in Amsterdam. We are a team brought together by a shared love for Japanese food, warm hospitality and doing things with care.

Our approach is simple: serve comforting food, use quality ingredients and create an atmosphere that feels considered but never formal. From the kitchen to the floor, we care about consistency, attention to detail and making Gifu a place people enjoy coming back to.

    We serve a chef-driven menu, which is a curated selection that may change without notice. We’re not able to accommodate custom orders.

    Our kitchen uses gluten in our dishes, and we do not offer gluten-free meals.

    We do not operate a halal-certified kitchen. Our dishes include non-halal ingredients and alcohol (also in vegetarian options).

  • As much as we adore animals, we are unable to accommodate dogs or other pets in the restaurant. We don’t have highchairs or baby seats available.

  • As our team is dedicated to providing a carefully curated dining experience, we kindly ask that no outside food or beverages be brought in.

  • Due to the limitations of our small Amsterdam location, we are unfortunately not accessible for strollers or wheelchairs.
